Look at this lovely gift I got! This spectacular red stocking hat with a yellow snail was made by Eostre in a technique known as Naalbinding. Naalbinding is a Scandinavian textile technique for making items such as socks, hats and gloves. It produces similar results to those made by knitting or crochet, but predated them by perhaps as much as 2000 years. (And, since it is such an ancient craft, you will find several variations in the spelling.)
